Board of Directors
Capitalnet Microfinance Ltd. operates under a dynamic and versatile board of directors. The Board is responsible for the formulation of policies and give general direction to management. The members of the board are as follows:
Mr. Dickson Adu-Kojo
Board Chairman
Mr. Dickson Adu-Kojo graduated from the University of Ghana in 2002 in BSC Administration in Banking and Finance. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester, UK. He is a member of the Institute of Credit Management, UK. He holds MSC in Microfinance from the University of Cape Coast.
Mr. Adu-Kojo has diverse working experience. He worked as a Customer Service Officer at Sainsbury’s PLC in UK from 2004 to December, 2008.
From March, 2009 to December, 2012, he was the Credit Manager of Speed Funding Facility, a company owned by Danida, GIZ, and Ghana Government to provide wholesale finance throughout Ghana for Rural and Community Banks.
In December, 2013, he joined the Internal Audit Agency as a Senior Manager for Projects, Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation.
He also worked as a Finance Advisor for EU Ghana Pact for Skills, in support to the transformation of the TVET system in Ghana.
Mr. Adu-Kojo has interacted with Board Members and Senior Managers of most Rural and Community Banks in Ghana.
He is a team player and has excellent human relations and organizational skills.
Ms. Joyce Arthur
Board Member
Miss Joyce Arthur is an Accountant by profession.
She is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor degree in Economics and Sociology. She also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Cape Coast. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (Part Two). She also holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM).
She has acquired varied experiences in different organizations with proven track records. She has worked with the Food and Drugs Board as an Administrative Assistant, Department of Economics and Sociology as Teaching Assistant, ONS Financial Services as Office Administrator, College of Distance Education, University of Cape Coast as Senior Tutor, JB Properties as Senior Auditor, and Hydronomics Limited as an Accountant.
Miss Arthur has attended several courses and seminar including Fast Track Module in Professional success, Human Capital Development, Attaining Financial Independence, etc.
Miss Arthur has a unique ability to promote team work, very objective, and possesses great managerial skills.
Mr. Bernard Ameyaw
Board Member
Mr. Bernard Ameyaw is an Accountant by profession with over ten (10) experience serving in different capacities and positions.
He is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies.
Over the years, Mr. Ameyaw has sharpened his financial management, accounting, auditing, and business strategy skills at very prominent companies like Plato Consult Limited, Esters Supermarket, Ampiah-Kwofi World Outreach, KingsSAG Associates, and Hilmiton Consulting. He also has vast experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and regulatory compliance.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Smart Prestige Limited.
Mr. Ameyaw has a solid understanding of business principles and financial management techniques. He is time conscious and very dedicated to duty. He practices continuous learning to keep himself updated with the latest trends in his chosen profession.
Ms. Ivy Sedziafa
Board Member/Secretary
Miss Ivy Sedziafa is a Nurse by Profession. She has been practicing nursing for 20 years now.
She holds Community Health Nursing certificate from Winneba Community Health Nursing School. She also has a Diploma in Community Nursing from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and currently persuing a degree in Public Health Nursing at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, which is affiliated to the University of Cape Coast. She will complete in September, 2024.
She is currently a Senior Staff Nurse at Nima Polyclinic.
She has attended several courses and training programmes and has vast experience in health care delivery.
She has good communication and interpersonal skills. She is very analytical and possesses special organizational skills.
Management
Mr. Cephas Zatey
CEO & Board Member
Mr. Cephas Zatey holds first degree in Economics and Sociology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
After his university education, he worked with the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Forestry as an Assistant Director IIB for two (2) years.
He started his banking career with ProCredit Savings and Loans Company as a Credit Officer in 2004. Later, he became a Senior Credit Officer and subsequently a Credit Coordinator.
He joined Intercontinental Bank Ghana Limited in 2006 as a Relationship Manager.
In 2007, he resigned from Intercontinental Bank to join uniCredit Ghana Limited as the Credit Manager. In 2012, he became the Portfolio Manager, managing both Credit and Deposit of the institution, a position he held until December, 2014.
Mr. Zatey is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Capitalnet Microfinance Limited, a position he has held since January, 2015.
He is very innovative and a creative thinker. He has great passion for learning, excellence and always strives to achieve set target. He has excellent negotiation and presentation skills and has the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Ms. Rebecca Ayerh
Branch Manager
Rebecca Ayerh is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.
She is currently the Branch Manager of Capitalnet Microfinance Ltd where she manages the day-to-day operations of the company.
Prior to Capitalnet, she was with Adehyeman Savings and Loans Ltd for almost thirteen years and served in various departments within the institution. This granted her rich experience in customer service, loans, finance, procurement, risk and compliance and branch management.
She also serves as an Audit Committee Member at the Adentan Municipal Assembly since 2021
